Auldana Foundations was formed in 1968 as a family business by Carmine and Emilia Malatesta and their four sons, with a focus on quality workmanship and an unrivaled work ethic.
Carmine Malatesta started as a brick layer in the early 60's, then moved on to start his own business in 1968. From brick-laying he went on to paths and driveways both in concrete and bricks, Carmine found his niche in foundations in the late 70's.
More then 20 years ago, Alessandro, started with his father as a 17 year old. Alessandro worked side by side with his father and together they went on to specialise in Commercial and Industrial work. From intricate multi storied homes, factories, warehouses, shopping centres and hospitals.
In 2009 Alessandro purchased Auldana Foundations from his parents as they entered retirement. Now a new generation of Malatesta's is keeping the family business moving into the future. Grace, Alessandro's wife, looks after the day to day administration and their two daughters Taylor and Alicia.
Since taking over Alessandro has decided to concentrate on the housing sector, as a result Auldana Foundations has now expanded from 5 to 18 employees and a fleet of trucks. Auldana Foundation works in all aspects of concrete construction such as Raft and grillage slabs, suspended slabs, split levels, and cellars just to mention a few.
Auldana Foundations is proud to work with many of South Australias leading builders who recognise and appreciate the quality of workmanship.
